Doppler gangers, changelings, or a clever wizard deceiving your PC’s into thinking they have a new friend or ally just to shove some cold steel in their back is a fun tactic especially for small groups where an extra man/woman, can turn the tide of battle, or make a seemingly easy encounter take a turn for the worse.
